What makes for great spring season motorcycle riding?

Part of our Guide to Spring Season Motorcycle Riding

Spring is an exciting time for motorcycle riders!  For many of us, we’re finally getting the bike back on the road after enduring months of waiting for winter’s cold temps and snowy roads to go on their way.  And spring motorcycle roads can offer riders a level of beauty unmatched by any other time of the year as nature shows off its wildflowers, blooming trees, new animal life and recharges streams, rivers, and waterfalls.  And of course different areas of the US offer different showcases…Missouri’s Redbud trees bring dazzling displays of color to green forests, Texas Bluebonnets blanket vast swaths of fields and hills, and Rocky Mountain waterfalls that had vanished, return to life.

Traditionally the first day of spring has been March 21st. However, recently astronomers and calendar manufacturers have moved to March 20th being the first day of spring.  The reason for the change is
explained here.

How can you time your spring rides for maximum scenery?
